The above is our sweet Sasha Cat resting among a collection of stuff toys. We call her “Sash-ET,” as sometimes we wander right by her and don’t even notice she has buried herself by the animals.

This is our new neighbor cat. When Neighbor Kitty comes by, sweet Sasha turns into a howling beast, emitting a noise so chilling that it brings Ozzy Cat running to see what is wrong with his sister. In fact, the noise has the same effect on us.

So angered by the visitor, Sasha patrols the window to ensure she doesn’t return. The above picture was taken two hours after the visit; it took another 30 minute or so before Sasha gave up the vigil.

Sleepy, cute, and target of the cellphone cam.

He starts out snuggled on the lap.

Senses alert: a chance to be bad.

Something to chew.

Tug…this is serious business.

It springs from his mouth, he feels out an attack position.

Full assault!

Especially when we leave food for her.

Happy Holidays

Our neighbor cat Lilly came by for a visit yesterday. She has learned to whine for kibble now, so we feed her a little, play if she is in the mood, and scratch her between the ears which she seems to enjoy.

And, occasionally, I take a few pictures of her.

Licking her lips to capture the crumbs from the yummy free kibble.

Rolling for me.

In the meantime, our two boys watch from the indoors with anger and disgust.

Upon his arrival in the house, Nicole quickly dismissed my suggestion that we call the soon-to-be-named Oz “Twinkie” because of his tan / orange fur and creamy center filling…I mean, white belly fur. Still, Twinkie Belly has become a nickname for Ozzy, which at least for the time being, is a bit of a collector-item moniker.
