Thursday Random Eight (2012.06.21)
Back from the short hiatus.
Amon Tobin – Proper Hoodidge: Just don’t shoot him.
The Dead Milkmen – The Big Sleazy: Starting off with a part of an ongoing story from Metaphysical Graffiti, and then to a song about hating Philadelphia radio…one of many hangups the band had to croon about.
R.E.M. – 9-9: Just a touch on the wacky, disjointed side from the early days of the band.
John Cale – Heartbreak Hotel: A live, piano/voice haunting version of the popular tune.
The Replacements – Unsatisfied: Not a bad trip from the time machine today.
Cursive – Double Dead: As happy as ever.
Amon Tobin – Precursor: Very bouncy with even more peculiar sounds than normal.
Shinji Masuko – Woven Music for Silver Ocean: And it is, oddly.
